MacDonald's Farm is a collection of animal stories co-produced with GMTV UK, and based on internationally-popular themes.
This pre-school series is full of educational fun and frolics with a host of farmyard characters.
Endorsed by the Pre-School Learning Alliance, the stories feature social and early-learning themes, with which all young children will identify.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 1: Food Glorious Food
Baa Baa is fed up with eating grass at every meal so she decides to try something else instead. She starts with Woof Woof's dog biscuits, but she doesn't like them! Moo Moo is worried that Baa Baa hasn't eaten anything and goes great lengths to encourage her to eat something else but Baa Baa doesn't want grass, she doesn't like dog biscuits, she doesn't like hay or bread or apples. She tries chocolate and popcorn and grapes but no, she doesn't like them either. By suppertime Baa Baa is very hungry. Clever Moo Moo has been busy int eh kitchen and has prepared Baa Baa a very special meal, Green Fingers and Meadow Burgers. Baa Baa thinks they are delicious!
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 2: Rain or Shine Picnic Time
It is a lovely hot sunny day and Woof Woof and Baa Baa are playing in the farmyard, Neigh Neigh and Moo Moo are busy doing jobs, Oink and Oinky are trying on sunhats and Quack Quack is applying sunblock to her eggs. Moo Moo decides it is so nice they should all go on a picnic. The young animals are all very excited and everyone helps Moo Moo prepare for the picnic. Just as they are about to leave there is an enormous clap of thunder and a great bolt of lightning then it starts to pour with rain. The animals are very disappointed, now they won't be able to have their picnic or will they?
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 3: Baa Baa and the Three Bears
Macdonald's Farmyard Theatre presents Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It is Baa Baa's proudest moment when she is chosen to be Goldilocks in their very own play. All the other animals will be able to see and hear as she tastes and smells the bears' porridge and as she tests each chair and bed to see which one is the most comfortable. All the animals learn about the five senses in a fun-packed way.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 4: Big Birthday Surprise
It is Oink and Oinky's birthday and moo Moo has planned a special birthday lunch. Baa Baa, Quack Quack, Woof Woof and Neigh Neigh have all been busy helping her and can't wait to give the twin pigs their birthday p[resent, a new game. However, Oink and Oinky don't want to share their birthday with each other anymore and decide not to share the two parts of the game. They soon discover it is far more fun to share than to play with only half a game.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 5: Quack Quacks Big Search
In a panic, Quack Quack discovers that Tilly, one of her egg sisters, is missing from the trolley and has been replaced by a rubber ball. The animals all search Macdonald's Farm from top to bottom in search of the missing egg but canno find Tilly anywhere. Of course in the chaos that follows, no one notices that baa Baa who is busy knitting int the garden hasn't been seen for some time either!
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 6: Springtime on the Farm
It's a beautiful Spring day on Macdonald's Farm and Moo Moo is already to do some spring-cleaning. All the animals have jobs to do and the Farm is a hive of activity. Quack is spring-cleaning her eggs, Woof Woof, oink and oinky are tidying the farmyard, Neigh Neigh and Baa Baa are sweeping and dusting the Big Barn and Moo Moo is doing the washing. When Woof returns to his basket for a nap, he discovers his favorite blanket is missing, her is terribly upset. He searches everywhere bit no one has seen a brown blanket with green bits and a picture of a dog in the corner. Where could it be?
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 7: Pirates and Princesses
In the Big Barn everyone seems just a little gloomy. Baa Baa is quietly knitting; Woof Woof is coloring in some paper bones; Oinky is reading; Oink is counting his apple collection in the usual way, eat one, count one and Quack Quack is fussing around her eggs. None of them can think of a game to play. Moo Moo suggests that if they use their imaginations they can be pirates or even a fairy princess! The young animals have all kinds of new adventures playing the Imagination Game.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 8: A Spot of Trouble
Poor Woof Woof has chicken pox and Moo Moo and the other animals are taking extra special care of him. Exepct that is, for Baa Baa who is jealous that Woof Woof is getting more attention than she is. Baa Baa wants to be read to, and she wants to be given hot cocoa to drink, and to be tucked into her bed by Moo Moo. In fact Baa Baa thinks this is so unfair she pretends to be ill too.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 9: Fun Through the Seasons
It is a beautiful spring day and Moo Moo and Neigh Neigh are telling the young animals all about the four seasons of the year. Baa Baa is very concerned that the “daffydilly” she has planted from Moo Moo has missed spring and will now have to wait another year before it flowers. The animals all join in with Moo Moo's special Seasons Song to help the daffydilly grow.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 10: Neigh Neigh's Busy Day
Moo Moo is spending the day doing some gardening in the farmyard for Former Macdonald. Oink, Oinky, Quack Quack and Baa Baa decide to go along to help her. Woof stays behind in the Big Barn with neigh Neigh, they have both promised to do some jobs for Moo Moo and their friends. But somehow things do not go quite to plan and on their return, Moo Moo and the others are very disappointed that Neigh Neigh and Woof Woof haven't kept their promises.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 11: Lets Tidy
It's one of those days in the big Barn where no on can find anything they are looking for. Neigh Neigh is searching for a picture hook, Baa Baa is sorting through the dressing up clothes, Oink has lost his bright shiny red apple, Oinky's pile of books is scattered everywhere. The Big Bard in a complete mess. When Moo Moo returns from doing special jobs for Farmer Macdonald she can hardly believe the mess. She soon teaches the other animals a valuable lesson about tidying up.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 12: Shapes are Everywhere
Moo Moo and Neigh Neigh teach the young animals all about the different shapes that can be seen around Macdonald's Farm. Then they all play the Shape Game, Baa Baa looks for rectangles, Woof Woof sniffs out triangles, Oink and Oinky search for circles and Quack Quack and her brothers and sisters have to find squares. And to round off a perfect day, Neigh Neigh has a special prize for he animal who finds the most shapes.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 13: When I Grow Up
Quack Quack and her brothers and sisters have been so successful with the sunflower seeds they planted, they have frown a little taller everyday and the flowers are very pretty. Oink decides that he wants to gorw as well and he asks Quack Quack id she can help him. Quack Quack and the other animals have a very busy day learning all about growing.
Macdonald's Farm - Season 1, Episode 14: Macdonald's Farm Big Band
Moo Moo keeps humming a tune - but she just can't remember the words to the song! Meanwhile the children are listening to a Sheepdog Shep story in which the sheep are saved when our hero plays the wolves music (a kind of canine Pied Piper). The children decide that they want to make music too. Moo Moo shows them how to make instruments out of everyday things - a funnel, tennis racket, bells etc. - but no one can think of an instrument for Woof Woof to play. Left out of the band Woof Woof offers to make up some new words for the tune Moo Moo is humming. When he sings the new lyrics everyone realises that Woof Woof's instrument is his beautiful voice and he sings with the band.
